I regard Claire as an exceptional school leader. She has been a profoundly positive influence on my school leadership career up to date. I first met Claire when she appointed me to my first senior leadership post in 2010. From the outset I found her to be warm, encouraging and supportive. Under her headship she provided me with timely guidance, information and advice in my early days as a school leader whilst also challenging me to strive to achieve the best outcomes for the pupils in our school. She has always been extremely well informed about current and relevant educational developments demonstrating a keen eye and attention to detail with regards to the strategic educational landscape on a local, regional and national level.
Claire's guidance and support has helped enable me to progress into further senior leadership roles with increasing levels of responsibility including a Deputy Headship and two Headships. Now six years into a successful Headship career, I still attribute many of my successes in the schools I have led to my initial tutelage from Claire in my early years of senior leadership. She showed me how to lead with passion, courage, honesty and integrity and to always remember that the pupils are the driving force and inspiration behind everything you do as a school leader.
I would recommend Claire to any school or educational setting that wishes to benefit from the expertise of a dedicated professional with a vast wealth of knowledge and experience. She is kind, supportive, well informed and insightful and I have no doubt that, by enlisting her services, your school leaders, your school community and ultimately your school's pupils will benefit from her impact in an enormously positive way.
Richard Kitching, Staffordshire Headteacher
Claire has a clear passion and expertise in developing leadership within a team and with individuals. She supported my own journey into headship and continued to provide advice and encouragement, especially within the early days of starting a new school. Her vision for high quality education for our pupils is always the driving force for identifying improvement priorities.
Claire has also supported some of my own staff in their leadership roles which has strengthened our team and their knowledge of school improvement.
Sarah Sivieri, Staffordshire Headteacher
Claire has leadership at the heart of what she does. She is passionate about other leaders succeeding in their own setting, regardless of the level of leadership. She has particular strengths in unlocking the leadership potential in the team, and directs each individual to recognise their own strengths, and how these play a part in the overall, bigger picture.
Claire encourages reflection and sees areas to develop as challenges to achieve. She is approachable, fair, strategic and self-driven, and uses her astuteness to help others achieve their long - and short - term goals.
Ed Morris, Tutor Services Manager
I had the pleasure of working with Claire as the Chair of her governing board for around two years and saw first-hand how she worked strategically to implement change across our schools. As a leader she had a specific focus on developing her staff and supporting them with their individual career aspirations. Personally, she spent time supporting myself and the other governors focussing on the right skills and metrics to add value in our roles. I would recommend Claire to any school, or individual, looking to develop their leadership.
Chair of Governors, Federation of Primary Schools
It has been a pleasure to work with Claire. She thoroughly assesses and evaluates what is needed to be done and puts the child at the centre, whilst strategically planning on the best outcome for the school, using her experience and knowledge. Claire breaks the plan down into smaller, workable steps, making sure the well-being of staff is carefully thought through. She is approachable and flexible to the needs of staff and children in the school putting them at the heart of everything. I would highly recommend Claire for any advice or planning to improve the outcomes for everyone at school.
Jodie Jones, Staffordshire Deputy Headteacher
I have worked with Claire for a number of years, her support, knowledge and empathy has been invaluable in helping us to make improvements by enabling us to develop leadership within the school in a way that staff found helpful. In fact, one member of my SLT said that Claire gave us the best CPD and listened and worked with us in order to be successful. She tailored her work to suit our school, was rigorous but always compassionate, each of her visits and training was inspiring, which left us motivated to implement various strategies.
Claire has a vast amount of experience both as a classroom practitioner and headteacher. What I really like about her is her ethical values which permeates everything she does. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to work with headteachers and their school. It has been a pleasure to have worked with her.
Sue Winson, retired Staffordshire Headteacher
I have known Claire Evans as a school leader for many years. Claire is a communicator and motivator who has transformed colleagues' work through perceptive analysis of practice. She is particularly thorough in her evaluation of school performance and finance data. Claire is unfailingly positive and leads by example. She always does what she says she will do, and is resilient in all circumstances. Claire makes challenging tasks achievable by clarifying targets and timescales. She always gives praise to others for what's been achieved. Claire Evans very quickly becomes an effective ally and continues to have my unqualified support.
